Monroeville Valley Farm
Monroeville Valley Farm
Seeking photos of the Monroeville Valley farm shown in a pastel by my mother, Barbara Boyd Carter, on view at the Monroeville Historical Society. Rendered in 1964 from the 2nd floor of our Shangri-La home on Mountain View Dr, the valley was developed into McClure Rd and Wiltshire Circle in the 70s. Was it originally Greer Farm, according to an old county map in my online Post-Gazette ad, or is it the farm of another family's--McClure, Creighton, Rose, Fitzsimmons, Elliott, Phillips, Duer, Scott, Gibson, Sands, Aber, Swanger, Knipp, Haberstroh, Keppelman? Census records call the area Murrysville. Contact: Debbie Carter, villagerexpat@aol.com
