NOTICE - BOROUGH OF MT. OLIVER
The Council of the Borough of Mt. Oliver will hold a public meeting to consider the adoption of an Ordinance establishing new amusement and amusement device license fees and adjusting business privilege tax registration fees and tax rates, said meeting to be held on December 15, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mt. Oliver Borough Municipal Building, 150 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, at which time all interested persons may attend and be heard.
TITLE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MT. OLIVER, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING § 64-10 OF CHAPTER 64, AMUSEMENTS AND AMUSEMENT DEVICES, OF THE BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ESTABLISH NEW LICENSE FEES, AND §§ 223-57 AND 223-58 OF CHAPTER 223, TAXATION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT THE ESTABLISHMENT OF BUSINESS PRIVILEGE TAX REGISTRATION FEES BY RESOLUTION AND ADJUST THE FEE FOR THE REISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE, AND ADJUST THE BUSINESS PRIVILEGE TAX RATES, RESPECTIVELY.
SUMMARY
The proposed ordinance would increase the amusement and amusement device license annual fees, the fee charged for the replacement of a business privilege tax certificate of registration, and the business privilege tax rates, effective January 1, 2026. It would also permit the modification of said fees and rates by resolution of Borough Council. A copy of the proposed Ordinance may be examined in the Borough office, without charge, or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof, during regular business hours.
