Thank You Birds

Thank you for your morning calls
All chirping to start
the day
Yes all those wonderful sounds
In your wonderful birdlike way

And thank you for
your colors
The Robins, the Sparrows, the Dove,
The Redbirds, the Bluebirds, the Blackbirds,
And the rest way
up above

And we thank you
most of all
For being part of our trees and forests
And in a funny kind of way
You never charging admission for
the tourists

Thank You Women

You're simply the best
In all you do
And the absolute smartest
We ever knew

About any situation
In need of your mind
And always your answer
The perfect find

Number one you are
And I truly say
Especially for
Your fearless way

Thank You Mom

I thank you for the years
That you had given me
And even though dad was absent
You were there to see

There was always food on the table
And always clothes on my back
And lots of toys for Christmas
From the giant Santa Claus sack

And helping me with my homework
Cause I really wasn't
too bright
And always a
goodnight kiss
Before turning out
the light

And of course at the welfare line
Where we'd get our cheese and bread
And how you were never ashamed
Of caring what
people said

And so I thank you Mom so much
For being the
wonderful you
And as you rest in peace in heaven
I know God is loving
you too

"Horse Racing" ( Kentucky Derb...

"Horse Racing"
( Kentucky Derby )
( Preakness )
( Belmont )

Is it not the mistreatment of animals
Whipping those poor horses throughout
And it really makes me cry
What horse racing is all about

Winning the almighty dollar
And for some silly recognition
And in the process that poor beaten horse
Ending up in a helpless position

I'm sorry if some disagree
But the mistreatment of an animal is a sin
And shame on those riding jockeys
Even doing it on a whim

Just one more thing to mention
Rich people betting on the race as well
With no consideration
at all
That those horses may be going through hell
