Yes I have taken that road
Because it leads to no dead end
For it is paved with all walks of life
And it's the road I'll always defend

No matter what language or color
National origin or different race
I love them all the same
And they always bring a smile to my face

For I believe Thee Almighty God
Created this world to
be free
And to love one another without judgement
And God willing...
May it always be

a turkey
Or anything else on my table to feed

Whiter Shade
Of Pale

When I heard of Gayla Mae's passing
I broke down like a helpless child
I fell to my knees in sorrow
And let me tell you the tears weren't mild

Walked to the crucifix in my room
Asking Jesus to not make it be true
I was very upset and distraught
I just didn't know what
to do

The phone rang and it was a friend
Telling me yes...It was Gayla Mae who died
I dropped the phone on the floor
In a strong drink I needed to confide

I drove to the
nearest bar
Ordered Jack Daniels to calm my nerve
I woofed it right down in a second
Knowing a drunken state was all it would serve

I ordered another and another and another
And still in the state of not believing
For my very best friend was gone
And I knew forever that I would be grieving
