She no longer has to suffer
Her pain is done and over
Yes the angels took
my Mom
And I wept like a
drowning rover

On her hospital bed I said
This is Billy and I love you
And then I went on to say
You are now with God above you

Closed her eyes and she was gone
My mother was gone forever
And I'm telling you on
my knees
My crying heart sure
did sever

I got up and left the hospital
Silent as anyone could be
But the consolation was
That my Mom was in the hands of Thee

I love you my dear
dear mother
And I'm gonna miss you everyday
And I thank you for how you raised me
To be respectful in
every way
