SANSONETTI
PAUL J.
Age 94, of Pittsburgh, PA,
went home to be with the
Lord on November 7, 2018,
after experiencing
congestive heart
failure. Paul, one
of ten children,
was born on
April 24, 1924, to
Italian immigrants,
Pasquale and Nicoletta
Sansonetti who both precede
him in death. He was also
preceded in death by his
siblings, Cinderella Rakow,
Frances Rudai, Marie Golightly,
Emma Liberatore, Joseph and
Anthony Sansonetti. Paul was
the first boy born in the
Sansonetti family so he was
always treated like a "king" by
his beloved older sisters. As a
child, Paul played the banjo
and he was very good at it. As
a young man, he joined the
Navy and served during World
War II in the Philippines as a
"torpedo man." Upon his
return from the war, Paul
married his beloved Ann.
Together, they raised a new
generation of Sansonettis. This
past summer, Paul and Ann
celebrated their 70th wedding
anniversary. Throughout his
life, Paul worked hard to
provide for his family and
when he finally retired from
Sears after 44 years, he and
Ann enjoyed ballroom
dancing. Paul lived a long and
full life. His love and concern
for his family were always his
number one priority. Paul
Sansonetti will be lovingly
remembered by his wife, Ann;
his children, Steve, Paul
(Maureen), Linda Mosesso
(Michael), Ken (Veronica), and
Donna Sansonetti DiPofi
(Albert); his grandchildren who
proudly called him Pap or
Papap, Damian (Ilma),
Stephanie, Paul, Nicole (Nick),
Tyler (Beth), Andrew, Angela,
Adam, Joshua, Amanda,
Matthew, Nicholas; and his
great-grandchildren, Isabella,
Cassandra, Isabella and Luca.
Paul is also survived by his
sister, Lena Zannetti, brother,
James Sansonetti and sister,
Patricia Carr (Michael). Friends
and family will gather at the
WALTER J. ZALEWSKI
FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th
St., Lawrenceville, Sunday, 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass
will be celebrated at St. Maria
Goretti Parish, Immaculate
Conception Church on
Monday at 10:00 a.m.
