Of Butler, Pennsylvania,
passed away on Tuesday,
October 9, 2018 at the
Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
He was born July 24, 1926 in
Ransom, Kansas to the late
Hugh Belford Carroll and the
late Ruth Naomi Stewart
Carroll. Norman is a veteran of
WWII, having served in the US
Navy on the USS Coral Sea
Aircraft Carrier as Main Engine
Officer. He attended Kansas
University, where he received
his Bachelor's Degree in
Business and in Engineering.
Norman then worked for
Westinghouse in Cheswick as
a Mechanical Engineer and
was also owner/operator of
Applied Test Systems for many
years before retiring. He is
survived by one son, Robert G.
Carroll and his wife, Anita of
Mars, PA; two grandchildren,
Alayna Carroll, and Riley
Carroll; one brother, Keith
Carroll and his wife, Mary of
Burlington, NC; two nieces,
Alison Smith, and Angela
Hunnicut; and one nephew,
Keith William Carroll. In
addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his wife,
Virginia Yotti Carroll, whom he
married August 29, 1953 and
who passed away on June 24,
2012; and one brother, Bobby
Carroll. Friends will be
received Friday, October 12,
2018, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at
HOME, INC., 124 East North
Street, Butler, PA. A memorial
service will be held on
Saturday, October 13, 2018, at
3:00 p.m., at the Trinity
Presbyterian Church, 107
Staley Avenue, Butler, PA, with
Rev. Donn Ed, officiating.
Private burial will take place in
the Butler County Memorial
Park with full military honors.
