Dear daughter of the late Charles H. Trautman, Sr. and the late Mabel Rishell Trautman; favorite aunt of the late Edward C. Trautman and the late John Trautman. My beloved mother, my sunshine: You would have been 80 years old this past week - and how I would have loved to be with you to celebrate it. Instead, I celebrate the remarkable woman you were every day. Though my grief is great - much greater is my thankfulness for the privilege of having you as my truest friend and my dearest soulmate. You were a remarkable woman with wisdom and wit, determination and drive, energy and empathy. I am proud of what you achieved and appreciate the battles you fought to make your way. Now, after being a caregiver to my in-laws for too many years and far too far away from you, I have the peace I need to finally and fully reflect on what you really meant (and still mean) to me. Everything I am is you. You have your parents, your family and your companions (Hansel and Gretel) with you, and you have me in beautiful dreams where I can see and hug you once again. Friends, family and our kind neighbors on Colescott Street in Westwood are encouraged to think of you on this day and contact me to share their thoughts. Peggy Anne (Trautman Ferri) Salz, peggy@mobilegroove.com.
