• VOELZKE ANN LOUISE Passed away...

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, William 'Bill' Andrew Voelzke. Ann was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1927 and attended Saint Mary's on the Mount Catholic Primary School before returning to school as an adult to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University. She went on to work as a premium auditor for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company for many years. In 1973, Ann and Bill moved to New Jersey, settling in Whippany with their five children. They were members of St. Ann Church in Parsippany, and enjoyed golfing, entertaining their many friends and traveling. Ann and Bill completed several cross-country road trips, and took their adventurous spirits to sea on many cruises and trips abroad. Ann recently celebrated a milestone birthday surrounded by numerous friends and family. Ann is survived by her five children, William James Voelzke (Lisa Donnegan), of Lake Hiawatha, Deborah Louise Kasel, of Montville, Michelle Ann Polcer (Jeffrey Drew), of Medford, James Francis Voelzke (Emma Geimer), of Washington, DC, and Kathleen Adele Humphrey, of Warren. She is also survived by 11 loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Robert, Kelley, Brian, James, Gregory, Margaret, Meghan, Grace, Griffith and Patrick; and three great- grandchildren, Louise, Mary Clare and Alice. Ann was predeceased by her father and mother, James and Alvina Gillespie; her brother, Alvin Gillespie; and two beloved sons-in-law, Robert Francis Kasel and Griffith Douglas Humphrey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church in Parsippany, New Jersey. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the BRADLEY BRAVIAK FUNERAL HOME, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany, New Jersey. A committal service will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at noon in Calvary Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
