Of McDonald, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Preceded in death by his sons, John (Colleen Shields) and Joseph Signorello; grandfather of Rebecca Signorello, Joseph Signorello, Jr., Beth Martin (Scott), Christopher Signorello, Dawn Schneider (Steven), and Shelly Kuzma (Michael); brother to the late Bennie Signorello and Marie Ann Signorello Dabat; loving companion of Norma Jean Blussick; and tenderly cared for by Norma's children, Robert Blussick (Erin) and daughter Debbie Ferrari; and grandchildren, Jasmine Hughes (Jimmy), Justin Blussick, Savannah Blussick, Zoe Blussick (goddaughter), and Dylan Blussick. Born in Carnegie, PA, John moved to France during WWII with his mother, brother, and sister. As an American citizen trapped in occupied France, he aided the French Resistance. After coming home to the United States, John proudly served his country's Navy during the era of the Korean War. A true patriot, John loved his country and spoke proudly and with great honor of his time with the United States Navy. Family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. SUNDAY at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Twp., where a Blessing Service will be held 9 a.m. MONDAY. Interment to follow with US Navy Military Honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
