Age 80, of Sewickley, PA, passed away suddenly Feb. 22, 2018 at Heritage Valley Beaver. John was a Hair Stylist and owner of John McAllister Beauty Salon in Coraopolis for over 55 years. John, the first generation from Scotland, was the son of the late Frances Elizabeth Lentz and Hugh Rodgers McAllister. He was a member of the Coraopolis Presbyterian Church and sang in the Choir there, he also was a Veteran serving in the Army. He is survived by a daughter, Hope McAllister; long time companion, Patricia “Patti” Moyles and her children, Taimi (Steven) Dunham, Trevor Pittman, Marcy (Jeff) Curtis, and Janeen (Wes) Zapf; also several grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Friends will be received Tues. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the COPELAND CORAOPOLIS FUNERAL HOME, where a Service will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky Officiating followed by burial in Sylvania Hills. If desired, contributions to St. Jude's Children's Research Center will be appreciated.
