He was born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts on October 11, 1956, the beloved son of the late Carole Pearce Maghery and Richard Leo Maghery. Throughout his life, Dan was an exceptional athlete, knowledgeable sports enthusiast, and loyal friend. Dan graduated from Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts where he excelled on the football, basketball, and baseball teams. He then played a season of baseball with the Chatham Athletics in the highly-competitive Cape Cod Baseball League, competing with many players who went on to play in the major leagues. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Leisa Naughton Maghery; his daughter, Kaitlyn Alexee Maghery of Irwin, PA; and his son, Tyler Daniel Maghery of Manor, PA. He would also want us to mention his 'third' child, Bailey Maghery, the 105-pound Golden Retriever who never left his side. Dan leaves his in-laws, Jack and Janet Naughton of North Huntingdon.
