Age 90, of Moon Twp., passed away on February 21, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, on November 13, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Polozzi) Lioi. He was an 18 year US Army National Guard veteran serving in Germany for two years during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Tony's Sunoco in Moon Twp. and Tony's Tastee Freeze. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Moon Twp. A life member of the Coraopolis V.F.W. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edythe (Ehalt) Lioi; six children, Anthony (Kathy) Lioi, Patricia (Ray) Langer, Robert (Anita) Lioi, Charles Lioi (Rick Tamlyn), John (Tracy) Lioi, and Thomas Lioi; 14 grandchildren, Michelle (Christopher) Read, Michael Dupain, Melissa (Joshua) Balcerek, Jared (Ashley) Lioi, Charlene (Dixon) Revell, Andrew (Mallory) Faherty, Christopher (Deirdre) Lioi, Matthew, Kelsey, Brandon, Tyler, Megan, Jenna, and Brittney Lioi; two step-granddaughters, Kathy and Judy Langer; eight great-grandchildren, Sydney and Amelia Balcerek, Dylan and Kylee Read, Henry and Letty Revell, Sutton Lioi, and Mason Lioi; a brother, Joseph (Mary Lou) Lioi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pasquale Lioi; two sisters, Lena Graziano and Mary Groves; and a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Read. Friends will be received on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Parish, Moon Twp. (Everyone please meet at the church). Interment and military honors will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Moon Twp. Memorial contributions can be made to: Good Samaritan Hospice (concordialm.org).
