Age 75, of Ross Twp., on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017. William, affectionately known as "Bill" will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him for his upfront personality, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. Bill was known for always doing things "the right way". He was the Patriarch of his family, providing for his loving wife, and three children for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who led by example. He was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Elk's Lodge No. 339, The Masonic Lodge No. 716, and the Highland Country Club. Bill spent nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as a pitcher. After baseball Bill went on to start his own International Sales Company named after his three children, BBK International that is still in business today. In his spare time, Bill was an avid golfer, and was inducted into the 2015 North Hills Sports Hall of Fame. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the former Nancy Tyson; loving father of William (Mollie) Knoch, Brad (Stephanie) Knoch, and Kacey (Dan) Davis; proud papa of Sarah, Kristina, Grace, Ella, Jackson, and Willy. Family and friends received Wednesday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills, where services will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
