Age 89, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born July 23, 1928, a son of the late Stephen P. and Pauline Kenyhercz; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. (Majhan) Kenyhercz; a brother, Michael Kenyhercz, sisters, Tillie Kenyhercz and Pauline Wagner; and a grandson, Tyler Kenyhercz. Emil was a machinist at Westinghouse Research in Churchill. He enjoyed playing bingo and liked to bowl with the GCU league and was a member of the Clover Commons Poker Club. He enjoyed immediate and extended family get togethers, traveling with his wife for trips that involved a casino, loved all local sports teams but loved even more watching his grandsons in their sports endeavors. A well manicured lawn and landscape was a priority throughout his life along with a clean car, and his faith was a priority throughout his life. He was always there for everyone no matter who it was. He is survived by his children, Mark S. (Kim) Kenyhercz, of Penn Township, Stephen Kenyhercz, of Sewickley, and Christine Kenyhercz, of Irwin; and a grandson, Nicholas and his fiancee, Alea. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening. Parting prayers will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. in St Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
