JULES JOHN, Jr. (JACK)
Age 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2017 at The John J. Kane Regional Center in Ross Township. Jack was born on February 3, 1928 in Wilkinsburg, PA. He served in the US Navy and was stationed in the Pacific in the aftermath of World War II, including tours of duty in Hiroshima and Okinawa, Japan. He was a dedicated employee of Highway Equipment Company for 49 years. He was an avid golfer, sports fan, and had the thrill of being at Three Rivers Stadium for the Immaculate Reception. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Jules Janssen, Sr.; sons, Kevin and Kirk Janssen; stepson, William Taffe, Jr; and brother and sister-in-law, Bud (James) and Beverly Janssen. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patsy (Stivers); daughter, Joyce (Jeff) McGuirk: son, Eric (Audrey); stepson, Kevin (Elisa) Taffe and sister, Gloria (Jim) Llewelyn. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica (Andy) Richard, Justin (Corina) McGuirk, and Jaime (Chad) Ford, Alex Taffe and Michael Taffe and Noah and Hailey Taffe. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren. Jack's family would like to thank the staff at Kane for their devoted care over the last three years. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Alexis, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090. Please meet at the church.
