Anna Flack died on Oct. 29, 2017, in Glen Mills, PA. She was born on Nov. 1, 1917, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of Sutherland Smith and Bertha Smith. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a teacher for 35 years in the William Penn School District in Lansdowne, PA. Anne loved to travel including trips to Europe, Asia, and Africa even by merchant ships. Anne was very active in her community as President and Co-President of New Century Club of Chester for a total of 16 years. She was also active in the Delaware County Federation of Women's Club, Riddle Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Swarthmore Presbyterian Church for over 45 years, and had many wonderful friends through the church. She was predeceased by her husband, John Flack who died in 1959; her sister, Frances Shoemaker. A Memorial Service at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church will be scheduled in the near future.
