Stowe Township is accepting applications for Township Secretary. This high level position acts as chief administrative officer implementing the policies and procedures instituted by the Board of Commissioners to which it reports.

In addition to the legal responsibilities outlined in the First Class Township Code, this position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Township such as:

- Managing all Township accounts including payroll, banking, payables and receivables.
- Finance, including aiding the Board in developing the Township's annual budget; and once approved, implementing its provisions and issuing monthly reports thereon.
- Maintain all legally required records, papers, reports, and documents; and send any as required to the appropriate county, state, and/or federal agency.
- Coordinating with department heads as well as the solicitor and engineer in carrying out the policies and programs as adopted by the Board.
- Supervise the assistant clerk who reports to this position.

Minimum Requirements:

1. At least four years proficient working experience in local, county, or state government is a necessity. A degree in Public Administration or Finance would be a bonus.
2. Good oral and written communications skills, especially in dealing directly with the public.
3. Proficient in Microsoft office and financial programs as well as state programs.

Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
